Vision

The Institute for Responsible Citizenship will shape the next generation of great American citizens. This cadre of young men will have the knowledge to make sound judgments, the character to flourish under the pressures of leadership, and the vision to bring new solutions to our nation’s most pressing needs. They will influence and inspire future generations of men to value education, work hard, and achieve academic and career success. These young men are valuable members of our society and will play an important part in ensuring the life, liberty, and happiness of all Americans.

Mission

We inspire promising young men to become vigorous advocates of the American ideal, caring men dedicated to serving others, dynamic role models for African American boys losing hope, and leaders with the integrity to stand for real solutions regardless of prevailing sentiment.

The Big Goal

We exist to prepare talented young men to become great citizens.

Through the focused and intimate structure of our program, the Institute nurtures and equips these men with the academic and social resources to have successful careers in law, public policy, education, journalism, business, and ministry. Promising black students will be inspired to become exemplary citizens for life and will shape all aspects of American society.
