Hometown: Lithonia, GA

Jarrod Jenkins studied Political Science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill , where he earned National Dean’s List honors.  While in high school, he served as an advisor to the DeKalb County School Board

In 2003, Jarrod spent the summer working with underprivileged youth through the Partners for Kids program. 

He spent his first summer at the Institute interning at the U.S. Department of Education.
Jarrod is currently enrolled at the University of Georgia School of Law, pursuing a Juris Doctorate and Master’s of Public Administration joint degree.  He is ranked in the top third of his class and sits on the editorial board of the Georgia Law Review.  He recently participated in the highly competitive Charlotte Legal Diversity Program, a summer program designated for first-year law students.  Jarrod hopes to become an attorney and politician in the future.
