Hometown: Lithonia, GA

Jarrod Jenkins studied Political Science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill , where he earned National Dean’s List honors.  In the past, he served as an advisor to the DeKalb County School Board and as a mentor for underprivileged youth through the Partners for Kids program. He recently graduated from the University of Georgia School of Law, where he received his Juris Doctorate and Master's of Public Administration joint degree. While in law school, he was also a member of the editorial board of the Georgia Law Review. He hopes to become an attorney and poltician in the future.

Jarrod spent his first summer at the Institute interning at the US Department of Education. In 2005, he interned at the Washington Legal Foundation .
