Hometown: Brooklyn, NY

Ernie Jolly is an American Studies major at Cornell University.  As campus liaison for Black Students United, Ernie coordinates monthly town hall meetings to address issues concerning African Americans on campus and the surrounding community.  He serves as treasurer for the Minority Undergraduate Law Society and is president of the Black Student Union.  Ernie also serves as residential advisor to the largest dorm on campus. 

Ernie currently works as the student administrative assistant to the director of campus life and is a member of the Campus Life Student Advisory Board.  He hopes to acquire his JD and become a civil rights attorney.   

He interned at the U.S. Department of Labor during his first summer at the Institute.
