Hometown: Birmingham, AL

Anthony Kelley is a Gender Studies major at Columbia University.  Feeling the need to act in the tragic aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, the Birmingham, Alabama native helped organize a trip for Columbia students to help clean up debris in the Gulf coast region.  On campus, Anthony is a recipient of the King’s Crown Leadership Award (Bronze Crown), an award presented to students who have demonstrated exemplary leadership through their involvement in student organizations and activities. He plans to pursue his Ph.D. in Gender Studies and become a professor. 

In 2007, Anthony interned at the National Center for Victims of Crime.
