Hometown: Elk Grove, CA

Emerson Luke majored in Political Science at Tufts University.  Prior to transferring to Tufts, Emerson served as class president and senator to student government at Emmanuel College in Boston.  At Tufts, he served as a community representative for Pan-African Alliance, a student organization designed to promote awareness among members of the Black community and teach others about the Black experience.  Emerson’s career aspirations include an involvement in politics and ministry. He is now enrolled in his second year at Fuller Theological Seminary.

During his first summer as an Institute scholar, Emerson interned at the office of Senator Dianne Feinstein. In 2008, he interned for Public Strategies, Inc.
