Hometown: Girard, OH

Christopher McKee maintained a 4.0 Grade Point Average while majoring in History and minoring in Religious Studies at Youngstown State University.  At Youngstown, he earned the designation of being a University Scholar, the university’s most selective scholarship award. Chris also served as the national spokesperson for the Tavis Smiley Foundation’s National Youth Leaders Conference. Chris is an ordained minister and graduate of Yale Divinity School. He has since deferred admission to a PhD program at Carnegie Mellon University to serve his local community as a minister.

During his first summer with the Institute, Chris interned at the Institute on Religion and Public Policy.  He then worked at the Howard University School of Divinity during the summer of 2006.
