Hometown: Girard, OH

Christopher McKeemaintained a 4.0 Grade Point Average while majoring in History and minoring in Religious Studies at Youngstown State University.  At Youngstown, he earned the designation of being a University Scholar, the university’s most selective scholarship award. Chris also served as the national spokesperson for the Tavis Smiley Foundation’s National Youth Leaders Conference.

In 2004, he completed the Marketing/Loaned Executive Internship at the Mahoning Valley United Way Office.  The following summer, and his first with the Institute, Chris interned at the Institute on Religion and Public Policy.  He then worked at the Howard University School of Divinity during the summer of 2006. 

Chris is currently attending Yale Divinity School on an academic scholarship and has been recently ordained.  This past summer, Chris worked as a Yale President Public Service Fellow and he presently serves as an intern for a local church.  In the near future, he hopes to create a non-profit organization designed to help urban young adults with their social and spiritual development.
