Hometown: Jonesboro, GA
Edward Mitchell III majored in Political Science at Morehouse College, where he also minored in English. He was editor-in-chief of the campus newspaper The Maroon Tiger and was editor to The Literatus. He was a member of the Morehouse/Spelman Pre-Law Society and served as captain of the Mock Trial team. In the past, Edward also volunteered his time to support two different political campaigns in the state of Georgia. He is currently a second-year law student at the Georgetown University Law Center, and aspires to work in the fields of law and journalism.
During Edward's first summer at the Institute, he interned at the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law. The following summer, he interned for EBG Advisors, Inc.
