Hometown: Manning, SC Keron J. Morris is a Joseph G. Gordon Scholar at Wake Forest University, majoring in English. In his local community, Keron chairs a program, Helping Encourage and Develop Students (H.E.A.D.S.), that is geared toward helping elementary students overcome their academic shortfalls. He also mentors seventh grade students at a Winston-Salem middle school and volunteers as a basketball coach at the local YMCA. During the spring of 2007, Keron studied abroad in Venice, Italy. This past summer, he interned at a law firm close to his hometown in Manning, South Carolina and gained valuable experience, which further inspired him to pursue a career in law. |
