Hometown: Cedar Park, TX James Nortey studied Philosophy and Criminal Justice at Baylor University’s Honors College, where he earned the distinction for being on the Dean's List every semester. He worked as a senior community leader (residential advisor) and was a Sunday school leader. He was the Chief Justice of the Student Court, an assistant head delegate of the Model United Nations, and earned an Everyday Hero award at Baylor. Though James' parents are from Ghana, he was born in Dallas, Texas and is a lifetime resident of the state. He is currently enrolled in his final year at Harvard Law School. He one day hopes to become a Supreme Court Justice. During his first summer at the Institute, James interned at Friedman Billings Ramsey Group. He then interned at the FBI Office of Law Enforcement Coordination the following summer. |
