Hometown: Detroit, MI

Christien Oliver graduated from Michigan State University in 2005 with a degree in Social Relations, specializing in Political Economy, while earning Phi Beta Kappa honors. As an undergraduate, Christien spent a summer at the University of Yucatan in Mexico studying Spanish. He is a graduate of the George Washington University Law School and has served as a law clerk for a judge in Montgomery County, MD. He is currently employed at Hunton Williams, LLP in Tysons Corner, VA.

During his first summer with the Institute, Christien interned at the Washington Legal Foundation. In 2005, he conducted research at the Howard University Legal Center.
