Hometown: Philadelphia, PA

Anthony Phillips majors in African American Studies and Philosophy at Bates College.  His campus involvement includes serving as a student representative for the College Lecture Committee; president of Amandla!, a cultural organization; and moderator for the African American Studies Club.  In his hometown of Philadelphia, Anthony co-founded the Youth Action Team, a non-profit organization that promotes civic awareness and responsibility among inner-city youth.  He desires to become a university professor.
