Hometown: Evansville, IN

Brandon Piper, a Communications major, is enrolled in the honors media program at DePauw University.  Brandon is the recipient of the Presidential Rector Scholarship, which is awarded to the top students in each entering class.  Fluent in Italian, Brandon devotes his time as a language tutor.  He also provides mentorship to first year students through the depauw.year1 program.  An overall talent, he recently placed second at the National Association of Teachers Singing state competition in his home state of Indiana. 

Brandon, who interned at NBC News during the summer of 2007, would like to become a broadcast journalist. He recently accepted an internship at the United Nations World Food Programme in Rome, Italy for the spring semester of 2008. While there, he will work in the communications department.
