Hometown: Leland, MS

Edward Sanders graduated from Mississippi State University as a Political Science major, where he was a national Ronald Reagan Future Leaders Scholar.  Edward has worked with numerous political campaigns and was twice selected “Senator of the Year” for his two terms as a Student Association senator.  He was also the president pro-tem of the Student Association Senate, vice president of the Stennis-Montgomery Association, and was featured on FoxNews.com for his work as an opinions writer for The Reflector. Edward has since been employed at the White House and State Department over the past few years.  

During the summer of 2003, he completed an internship with the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Veterans’ Affairs.  As an Institute scholar, Edward spent his first summer interning at the office of U.S. Senator Thad Cochran (R-MS).  He spent the following summer interning for the American Legislative Exchange Council.
