Hometown: Lynn, MA

John Saunders participates in the distinguished Commonwealth College honors program at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.  He has earned numerous awards, including, 21st Century Scholar and ALANA Honors Society Scholar.  The Legal Studies major intends to pursue a career in law.  In past summers, he has volunteered his time to work with young people in his community. 

During his first summer, he interned at the U.S. Department of Education. In 2005, he interned with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. This summer, John is working at the Institute as our 2006 Summer Fellow.
