Hometown: Rochester, NY

Ashley Simms double majored in Political Science and Vocal Performance and minored in Psychology at the University at Albany. He was an active member of the Pre-law Association, Cornerstone Campus Ministry, University Symphony Orchestra, University Chamber Singers, Tennis Club, and the Crew Team.  The Rochester, NY native also volunteered with such organizations as Habitat for Humanity and the Regional Food bank.

Since completing a Master of Public Administration at the University at Albany, Ashley has enrolled at Stanford Law School. He aspires to become a foreign service officer for the US Department of State.

During the summer of 2005, Ashley interned in the Peace Corps' Inter-American Region Office. In 2006, he interned for the Helsinki Commission.
