Hometown: Austell, GA

Darrell Spearman aspires to become an Inspirational Speaker.  He prepares for that endeavor by pursuing a degree in Business Administration at Emory University and Biblical Education at the Word of Faith Family Cathedral in Austell, Georgia, his hometown.  As one who has overcome significant challenges in his own life, he commits himself to serving others.  He has a close mentoring relationship with twin boys, is a leader in Intervarsity Christian Fellowship at Emory, and has participated in service projects in Chicago, New Orleans, and other cities.  He is a QuestBridge Scholar and a Gates Millennium Scholar.

During his first summer at the Institute, Darrell interned for Lott Carey Baptist Foreign Mission Convention.
