Hometown: San Antonio, TX

Chase Weldon attends the University of Chicago and is an English Language and literature major.  He has been passionate about a career in education since noticing that he was one of only three African American students taking honors courses at his high school in San Antonio, Texas. In Chicago, Chase interned at a charter school where he helped to improve achievement for the area's African American boys.  He is a Management Leadership for Tomorrow Scholar and was also one of 30 students selected to participate in the Harvard Public Policy Leadership Conference in 2010.

During his first summer at the Institute, Chase interned for the College Board.
